Week of Building Hope
Monday, May 11th-Saturday, May 16th
For 40 years, volunteers have been the backbone of Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity. From a group of volunteers coming together to establish our organization to the thousands of volunteers that continue to support our mission each year! During our 40th Anniversary Week of Building Hope, we are seeking to engage at least 400 volunteers to build homes and strengthen our community. The week will offer a variety of volunteer options, ways to engage, and opportunities to
celebrate 40 years of building hope.
We will have individual and group sponsorship opportunities that will be available during the week. Here is the tentative schedule for the week:
Monday: Kick off Breakfast- Celebrating the Last 40 Years!
Tuesday: Build & ReStore Opportunities
Wednesday: Furniture Builds, Landscaping Project(s)
Thursday: Build & ReStore Opportunities
Friday: Build & ReStore Opportunities, Project Playhouse
Saturday: Build & ReStore Opportunities, Project Playhouse, Close Out Celebration @ Hardywood Brewery
$40 supports our local builds and includes:
- Volunteer Participation throughout the week
- 40th Anniversary Swag Item and Shirt
- Lunch provided for build opportunities, snacks provided at shorter volunteer shift opportunities
