The ReStore is a retail outlet offering building and home improvement supplies for sale to the general public at greatly reduced prices. The new, gently used supplies are donated by individuals, contractors, and suppliers.
Volunteers are critical to Habitat’s success!
Volunteers assist with the day to day operation of the store. Volunteers help to clean, price, process, and merchandise our warehouse. We also utilize volunteers to assist with pricing in specific departments, organizing different departments, and light cleaning of the store.
Please note - Should you sign up for a volunteer shift and are not able to attend that shift, please email hmorris@richmondhabitat.org. If you sign up for 3 or more shifts and do not attend those shifts, you are subject to dismissal from the volunteer program.
How old do I need to be to volunteer?
- ReStore volunteers must be at least 14 years old
- All 14 and 15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult
- Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by an adult or legal guardian prior to beginning their volunteer shift
All volunteers must have close-toed shoes and dress in comfortable attire that they do not mind getting dirty.
Court Related Community Service Volunteers MUST complete our online Community Service Policy Form and await approval from the ReStore Volunteer Manager before collecting hours.
(This process can take up to 48 hours.) Hours WILL NOT be verified if this form is not completed and you have not received appropriate documentation from the Volunteer Manager.
