Help Make an Impact Behind the Scenes
Do you enjoy organizing details, connecting with people, and being part of a successful event? Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our Development Team as we prepare for one of our most important fundraising events of the year, our annual Gala.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit event planning and fundraising while helping create affordable housing opportunities for families throughout the Richmond region. Volunteers should be comfortable speaking on the phone, working in Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level.
What You'll Do
As a Resource Development Gala Support Volunteer, you'll work alongside our Development Team to help bring this signature event to life. Responsibilities may include:
Maintaining and updating event-related spreadsheets and tracking documents
Assisting with the coordination, organization, and presentation of silent auction packages
Making follow-up calls to sponsors, donors, and ticket purchasers
Supporting donor and sponsor outreach efforts
Helping with event logistics and planning activities
Assisting with other special projects as needed leading up to the Gala
