Little homes helping to build big homes


Get Your Playhouse Team Together for Friday, October 23 and Saturday October 24

Get your team together for a playhouse sponsorship! Teams will construct and decorate children's playhouses, which are then donated to families with kids in the community (see link at the bottom to nominate a local family).


How it Works:

  • This is a great team-building event for small groups of family, friends, and coworkers!
  • Each team will build and decorate a playhouse from a pre-cut kit.
  • Each team is provided a theme chosen by the family receiving the playhouse. This will help you come up with the game plan for decorating.
  • All building materials and tools are provided.
  • Playhouses are donated to families that have applied and qualify for the program.


Each playhouse sponsorship is $2,500

  • We have an ONLINE CROWFUNDING page for teams that want to fundraise their sponsorship.

Richmond Habitat's Playhouse Program provides children with a place to call their own while supporting our mission to provide families with affordable housing solutions. 


Playhouses are about 4x5 feet with a 6-foot roof pitch. Best for ages 3-8.


  • Recipients MUST live in the City of Richmond or the Counties of Chesterfield or Henrico.
  • Recipients MUST be HOMEOWNERS with a yard for playhouse placement.
