General Gala Background

Join Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity on September 19th at the Altria Theater for an evening honoring 40 years of impact and looking ahead to the future!Doors open at 5:30 pm where you'll have the opportunity to walk through and sign the frame of a future Habitat home in front of the Altria Theater. Mingle during the cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, music and a silent auction in the lounge. Move into the grand ballroom for dinner, homeowner stories, and two signature award presentations, followed by a live auction and "roof raise" to support Richmond Habitat as we continue to build homes, communities, and hope!Come dressed to party in your semi-formal/business attire.

Volunteer Information

Help Richmond Habitat with our Framing the Future Gala! Auction volunteers will be helping with:

Silent Auction Table & Bidding Station AttendeesAuction Spotters (Live Auction & Roof Raise)Auction Checkout Team (Live auction items only)Monitoring (roaming registration, auction table & door support)

All volunteers will receive a free ticket to the Gala, which includes dinner. You will receive a follow-up email regarding your dinner meal choice. Parking is available on the street, or you can pay to park in the parking deck across from the theatre ($14).

If you plan to attend the Gala before or after your volunteer shift, there will be a place available for you to change, so please feel free to bring a change of clothes and a pair of closed-toe shoes. If you do not plan to wear semi-formal or business attire to the Gala, please wear all black. No jeans or activewear, please!

When you arrive, please head to the main entrance of the Altria Theater, located directly below the marquee. Look for the volunteer check-in table, where you will sign in and receive further instructions. If you have trouble finding the check-in area, look for a Habitat or event staff member wearing a lanyard who can point you in the right direction.
